Meet the Woman Behind Dazéy

Hello, I’m Janel Antrobus, founder and creator of Dazéy Candles.

I’m a mother of two, an Executive MBA graduate of Texas Southern University, and an entrepreneur. I created Dazéy from a desire to offer products that feel thoughtful, beautifully made, and comforting in everyday life.

How It Began

My candle-making journey began during the global pandemic, when access to many of my favorite candles became limited. While searching for alternatives, I became more intentional about the ingredients, fragrances, and details behind the products I brought into my home.

What began as a personal project in my kitchen grew through patience, practice, and attention to detail. Dazéy Candles was inspired by warmth, nostalgia, self-expression, and the simple pleasure of creating a beautiful atmosphere.

Our Approach

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches using natural soy wax and carefully selected fragrance oils. From the memorable names to the inviting fragrances, every detail is chosen with intention.

Whether you’re unwinding after a long day, setting the mood, or giving someone a thoughtful gift, Dazéy is designed to make the moment feel special.

More Than Candles

Dazéy has grown into a lifestyle collection featuring candles, wax melts, luxury silk scarves, floral bouquets, gift boxes, e-gift cards, and ebooks.

Each product reflects a different part of the Dazéy experience from fragrance, beauty, creativity, gifting, comfort, and personal growth.

Beyond the Candle

Dazéy also extends into writing. My ebook, MAGNETIC: The Art of Quiet Confidence, explores feminine presence, self-belief, intention, and becoming grounded in who you are.

What’s Ahead

Dazéy Candles will soon expand to include on-the-go candle-making workshops in Houston, Texas and surrounding cities. These hands-on experiences will be created for date nights, girls’ nights, private events, and anyone who wants to connect through creativity.
